Peasantry, turn the land into fields and farmlands (liu bei, peasantry economy centric). (Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu (194) only, Zheng Jiang has a mod for it). Make giant coalitions\alliances and conquer China together. Espionage game, tear AI factions appart inside out with spies and use spies to gain more land and victory. Its fun to manipulate other factions this way). Mercenary (Bandits, get contracts and hand over any lands conquered to your master. Paint the map in vassals (anyone, or Liu Biao). Vassal Trade master (anyone), create a bunch of vassal and earn extra income by trading with them. Pacifist Yuan Shu, (Again buy your way to victory, no armies and no battles. I think unit variety is also very good, of course it can't compete with monsters and magic but faction unique units plus end game ones feel very strong and distinct. Zerg rush the enemies with tons of angry farmers. He Yi: Build tons of buildings and recruit characters that buff replenishment, recover from phyrric victories within a turn or two. Kong Rong: Create a trade empire from a few provinces and have your generals get tremendous amounts of extra experience and power level. Liu Biao: Be penalized for expanding too much, instead create vassal factions that buff you.ĭong Zhuo: Raze enemy cities to the ground and use the ressource you get from that to bully other factions during diplomatic talks. Yuan Shao: Create trash stacks and buff the hell out of them while forming coalitions with other factions. ![]() The factions have a ton of variety, for example there's: You can use diplomacy and the spy mechanic to defeat other factions while barely even fighting them actively. You can paint the map as in all the others but you can also create a trade empire on the back of 2-3 provinces or create your own vassal factions by granting your administrators independence.
